The thermal disinfector HYG 3

With its compact size, the HYG 3 offers you a space-saving device as a table-top or built-in device. In total, the HYG 3 can prepare instruments for up to 30 patients per cycle.

Frequently asked questions about the HYG 3

How long does a cycle take?

A cycle takes approx. 70 minutes. The HYG devices work with just one programme, so incorrect programme selection is ruled out.

How are the instruments dried?

At the end of the cycle the instruments dry by their own residual heat. To do this, open the door promptly after the programme ends, at the latest within 15 minutes. If the door is opened later, water stains may form or the instruments may still be damp.

What connections does the HYG need?

A socket with a separate fuse, a water connection and a drain connection. No high-voltage supply is required; the devices run on standard power.

Which cleaning chemistry is used?

The HYG series works with tabs instead of canisters. Oxides Thermo Tabs combine detergent, rinse aid and salt substitute. The amount per cycle is fixed, so dosing errors are practically ruled out.

What water do I need?

Only the pre-rinse uses tap water. All further programme steps run with demineralised water. This prevents limescale and stains and protects both instruments and device. Demineralised water can be supplied, for example, by the WaterDemin 550 or the Water Plus. The HYG uses the conductivity to show when the demineralisation needs to be replaced.

How often does the HYG need servicing?

Every 24 months or after 600 cycles. Servicing is carried out by our service partners.

Who validates the device?

We do not validate ourselves, but arrange validation and revalidation through experienced partners. We remind you in good time when revalidation is due.

How is my staff instructed?

On site during installation. If later users are not present or staff change, we can instruct online via Microsoft Teams at any time, live on the device from our video room.

We still have an HD 450. Is switching difficult?

No. Operation of the HYG series is identical to the HD 450, so no new training is needed.
